The Gift Of A Song

It is day six in our journey through grief and healing after miscarriage. We are so grateful for the many prayers and practical things people have done to help us through and show us God’s love.

Among the many sincere expressions of condolence came one special gift. It is a link to a song titled “Perfect Way To Start” written by Craig Aven.  The song is an amazing parallel to all that I wrote in my post “Little One” | a father’s heart after miscarriage.  My writing includes the line…  You are the song in my heart with lyrics unfinished.  Will you ever remain a beautiful poem with no resolving rhyme?  I feel that God has answered that question (at least in part) by giving me this song.

Tami and I were even more amazed to notice the time stamp on Craig’s Facebook video.  The posting of this special song happened on the same day that we received the news that we had lost our baby.  God’s grace is truly amazing.  I want to thank our friend Ashley Arnold for sharing the song with us and now we would like to share it with you all as well. If you have experienced the pain of miscarriage this song is for you…

I began writing this after my wife miscarried over a year ago, and finished it yesterday. I pray it brings comfort, hope and healing to those who have dealt with the loss of a child.
